Slicing Fan
This sword was originally an ornate fan for overheated ladies. All you had to do was wave it energetically about the face. The product was soon withdrawn when angry widowers complained they couldn't put their wives' heads back on. It was quickly re-launched as a lethal weapon. That's market research for you!
